Campbell, Calif. – January 12, 2010 - Brilliant Telecommunications, Inc., a leading supplier of next-generation network synchronization equipment and solutions, announced that the Board of Directors has named Jonathan W. Ladd (Jon) Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board. Jon has served on Brilliant’s Board since October 2008.

“Jon was the ideal candidate for this position because of his knowledge of the company and the team, his strong execution skills and his proven ability to lead top performing teams to success,” said Susan Mason of ONSET Ventures. “He most recently demonstrated these skills during his tenure at NovAtel where, year after year, he significantly grew business across a growing number of vertical markets. The board feels confident in Jon’s ability to augment the current management team and use his strategic and leadership experience to take Brilliant to the next level.”

Prior to joining Brilliant in December 2009, Ladd served as Special Advisor to the CEO of Hexagon AB, a supplier of systems for the measurement of objects in one, two and three dimensions. Prior to this he served as president and CEO of NovAtel, Inc., a public, NASDAQ listed company, providing high-precision GPS and GNSS receivers and related components. At NovAtel, Jon and his team delivered a 20 times increase in shareholder value over about six years culminating in a sale of NovAtel to Hexagon, AB.
